2016-2017
Julian Bonds class of 2017
Two of Julian's submissions were accepted for publication in the 2017 Ralph Munn Creative Writing Anthology, an annual creative writing contest sponsored by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. One of his narrative pieces, titled "Brown Afterlife Complex 703," was one of the top-rated entries and received written feedback from author and contest judge Siobhan Vivian.
Randy Hatcher class of 2017
Randy's poem titled "Paper Heart" was published in the 2017 Ralph Munn Creative Writing Anthology, an annual creative writing contest sponsored by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
Brianna Caridi class of 2018
Brianna's poem titled "Thorns on Bare Skin" was published in The Apprentice Writer, a literary journal produced by the Writers Institute at Susquehanna University. Brianna was one of only 65 selected to be published in this edition.
In addition, Bri's piece titled "I Love You and I'm Sorry" was chosen as a top-rated entry and published in the 2017 Ralph Munn Creative Writing Anthology, an annual creative writing contest sponsored by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. As a top-rated entry, Brianna's poem received written feedback from writer and contest judge Dawn Lundy Martin.
Daniel Bigley class of 2018
Danny was nominated for the Achievement Award for the National Council of Teacher's of English. Each school can only nominate one junior to be recognized for their accomplishments in academic or narrative writing.
